2. Anti-Bullying & Harassment Policy
Balogun Bassey Community Interest Company (Balogun Bassey CIC) is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all individuals involved with the organisation, including children, families, vulnerable adults, staff, contractors, and agency workers. We will not tolerate any form of bullying or harassment, and we will take all necessary steps to prevent and address such behaviour.

5. Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Policy
Balogun Bassey CIC is committed to safeguarding and ensuring the suitability of all individuals working within our organisation. To uphold this commitment, all staff, volunteers, and directors must undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check upon recruitment, with reviews conducted every three years.

We will take all reasonably practicable steps to safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of all individuals involved in our activities, ensuring that risks are identified, assessed, and minimized.
8. Lone Working Policy
Where the conditions of service delivery or its associated tasks require staff to work alone, both the individual staff member and their Line Manager/or another director have a duty to assess and reduce the risks which lone working presents.
This policy should be read in conjunction with the Health & Safety and Safeguarding policies including, where relevant, those of partnership organisations such as the local Probation Area policies.
9. Recruitment of Ex-Offenders Policy
Balogun Bassey CIC is committed to fair recruitment practices while ensuring the safety and well-being of the vulnerable children and adults we support.

10. Safeguarding Adults Policy
Balogun Bassey CIC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk. We recognise our duty to ensure that all individuals we work with are treated with dignity, respect, and protection from harm.
This policy outlines our approach to safeguarding adults in line with the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Working Together to Safeguard Children (where applicable to families of adults at risk).
11. Safeguarding Policy for Children
Balogun Bassey CIC is fully committed to ensuring the safety, well-being, and protection of all children who participate in our programmes. We strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment where every child can grow, learn, and thrive without fear of harm. 12. Whistleblowing Policy

This policy complies with the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 (PIDA), which protects whistleblowers from unfair treatment or dismissal when raising concerns in the public interest.
13. Food Handling Policy
This policy sets out how Balogun Bassey Community Interest Company (CIC) ensures the safe handling, distribution, and consumption of food provided to children during our programs. Our primary goal is to protect children’s health and wellbeing while promoting inclusive, safe, and enjoyable mealtime experiences.
14. Privacy Policy
Balogun Bassey Community Interest Company ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
We are the data controller for the purposes of this policy.
15. Recruitment Policy
